IT Project Manager

Northwest Partners is looking to hire an experienced IT Project Manager to work on a project with one of our premier clients in the construction industry. This position is based on-site in Downtown Columbus, Ohio , and commuting to the location is required daily . Applicants must be able to work for any US employer without additional work visa sponsorship.

What YOU will do

• Attend construction meetings and collaborate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams on project timelines and deliverables

• Oversee on-site cabling installations, including Ethernet-based low-voltage systems, ensuring compliance with safety and efficiency standards

• Manage vendor relationships, including procurement, coordination, and issue resolution for IT infrastructure services and materials

• Review and sign off on installations, maintaining accurate as-built documentation for compliance and future reference

• Track project progress, identify risks, and implement solutions to keep initiatives on schedule using project management tools

• Support integration of power over ethernet (PoE) technology for lighting and IoT systems in construction environments

What YOU will bring us

• College degree or extensive work experience in information technology, engineering, or related field (significant construction work experience also considered)

• Proven experience in IT project management with a focus on cabling installations and vendor management

• Hands-on familiarity with physical infrastructure projects such as low-voltage wiring and network setups

• Construction experience in commercial or smart infrastructure environments is a plus

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills for multidisciplinary team coordination

• Ability to work fully on-site in Downtown Columbus, Ohio, with daily commute required
