Job Overview:
As a PRN (as-needed) Direct Support Provider, you will play a crucial role in providing personalized care and support to individuals in need. Your compassionate assistance will help them maintain their independence and improve their quality of life. Whether working in a facility or providing in-home care, your dedication to ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of your clients will make a meaningful difference in their lives.

Responsibilities:

1. Address client needs with respect and attention to safety at all times.
2. Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, eating, and using the bathroom.
3. Actively engage clients through conversation and companionship, fostering a supportive and uplifting environment.
4. Promote clients' independence and maintain their dignity during all interactions.
5. Aid in meal preparation, planning, and grocery shopping according to clients' dietary needs and preferences.
6. Perform light housekeeping duties to ensure a clean and comfortable living environment for clients.
7. Assist clients with physical therapy exercises as directed by healthcare professionals.
8. Report any unusual incidents or changes in clients' behavior to the appropriate supervisor or healthcare provider.
9. Maintain a safe environment for clients, identifying and addressing potential hazards promptly.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
2. Current CPR certification to respond effectively to emergencies.
3. Must be at least 18 years of age, with a valid driver's license and a registered vehicle that is insured.
4. Ability to pass a comprehensive background check, ensuring suitability for working with vulnerable populations.
5. Current first aid certification, with the ability to respond calmly and effectively in medical emergencies.
6. Proven ability to behave with respect, compassion, and professionalism in all interactions.
7. Possess a positive and upbeat attitude, capable of fostering a supportive and encouraging atmosphere.
8. Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds safely, with proper body mechanics and techniques.
