As an Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol financial institution and public transit locations, maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents. You will support access procedures, observe and report security-related concerns, and provide welcoming customer service and clear communication. Pay Rate: $18.67 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, commuters, and/or clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at financial institution and public transit locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, offices, transit areas, parking locations, entrances, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures, and maintain accurate logs and incident reports.
• Provide visible support at assigned locations, communicate professionally with the public and site personnel, and report maintenance, access control, or security-related issues to the appropriate contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
