Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of RN experience required License: Valid compact or state license required Certifications: BCLS Must-Have: - Experience with interpretation of dysrhythmias - Experience in managing and accessing ports - Experience with arterial line management - Experience in blood product administration - Experience in central line and PICC line care/management - Experience in starting IVs - Experience in assisting with chest tube insertion/removal - Experience in managing high flow nasal cannula (HFNC) - Experience in interpreting ABGs Description: Seeking a Registered Nurse for a Medical Surgical/Telemetry department. The role involves providing care for patients receiving chemotherapy and managing symptom-related needs. A focus on continuous cardiac monitoring and infection prevention protocols is essential. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to manage comorbidities and patient falls. The patient population includes adults and geriatrics with a variety of oncology diagnoses. Experience in oncology is preferred, though not required. Strong communication skills and teamwork within an interdisciplinary support environment are crucial. The nurse will be required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed. Previous travel experience is preferred, along with proficiency in the EPIC charting system. Candidates must meet experience requirements from the past three years and have at least one year of current specialty experience.
