Job Title: Design Engineer / Project Engineer
Department: Engineering
Accountability: This position reports to the Engineering Manager

Responsibilities:

• Work with multi-disciplined engineering team to design circuit boards for various commercial vehicle power conversion products.
• Use Windows PC-based software, Altium to create PCB assemblies and associated documentation for fabrication.
• Designing new boards to fit specific electrical and mechanical requirements.
• Update/Maintain existing boards for improved performance, manufacturability, or replacement of obsolete components.
• ERP system and BOM entry.
• Production documentation creation, shared schematic symbol and PCB footprint library maintenance.
• Work with other PCB layout engineers to maintain standards and improve library file and drawing consistency.
• Assist with Product Change Notification processing and coordinate testing of alternate sourced parts
• Requirements:
  • Technical/Engineering degree preferred/Associate 's Degree as minimum requirement
  • Self-starter with 3-5 years PCB layout, assembly drawing and BOM creation
  • Familiarity with Altium or similar Software for schmatic entry
  • Ability to read schematics as related to PCB layout
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, etc.) on a Windows based OS
  • Strong written and oral communication skills

Additional Requirements:

• Must occasionally be able to lift and move between 50 to 100 lbs.
