Platform Principal Network Engineer

Job Description

The Platform Principal Engineer is responsible for developing and driving technical solution roadmaps within the Infrastructure Security Services domain. They leverage extensive training, certifications and experience to provide critical thought in the firewall, network access control (NAC) and network segmentation space. The successful candidate will be an effective communicator who can work across silos to tailor secure solutions that bridge the needs of the Business, Risk and Cyber Security

Skills and Requirements

o Expertise in Network Access Control (NAC) and Segmentation solutions such as Cisco ISE, Elisity, Forescout, Fortinet or Arista AGNI.

o Fundamental knowledge of 802.1x, TrustSec and Security Group Tags (SGT) deployed in a distributed SD-WAN network to secure and segment IoT.

o Build and enhance network security solutions with a "secure and automate first" mindset that will scale easily with growth.

o Leverage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts to manage configuration baselines via Jinja2/YAML and Ansible.

o Participate in an on-call rotation.

o Shares long-term technical and business vision to large audiences on a regular basis.

o Partners with Enterprise Architecture for collection of business and technical requirements to make decisions on future platforms or solutions.

o Maintains and develops professional and technical skillsets while keeping abreast of current and emerging technologies and how they drive value for Huntington.

o Builds high level and low level design (HLD, LLD) drawings to present in Visio, PowerPoint, Word or other media. o Bachelor's degree in a STEM or Cybersecurity field.

o Minimum 7 years of Infrastructure Solution Delivery experience with additional field experience on delivering infrastructure solutions in an enterprise-wide environment with a focus on security.

Preferred Qualifications:

o Strong leadership, verbal, written, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

o Previous Financial Services experience or knowledge.

o Master's degree in Cybersecurity or STEM field.

o Certifications such as CISSP, PCNSA/PCNSE, CCNP, CEH, Securityo Proven track record of successfully designing and building network security solutions from the ground up.
