Pay Rate: $17 per hour / temp to perm
Monday – Friday 6:30am -3:00pm
Job Overview
A General Laborer is responsible for performing various tasks to support construction, manufacturing, or maintenance activities. This position involves manual labor, operating machinery, and assisting skilled tradespeople.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in the loading and unloading of materials and equipment.
- Prepare job sites by cleaning and organizing workspaces.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment.
- Help with the assembly and disassembly of structures, scaffolding, and other components.
- Support skilled tradespeople, including electricians, plumbers, and carpenters.
- Carry out routine maintenance on tools and equipment.
- Perform basic repairs and upkeep as needed.
- Follow instructions from supervisors or project managers.
- Participate in team meetings and suggest improvements to enhance productivity.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in labor or construction is a plus.
- Knowledge of safety practices and procedures.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions.
