Child Care Staff Member
Summary We are looking to add a child care staff member to our team! We are looking for someone who is flexible in times of working, and is willing to work with children of all ages from Infants to School Age children. We are open to hiring for part time or full time, as long as the candidates availability can meet the needs of the center. Duties Hired candidates would be responsible for providing loving, caring, active supervision in one of our four classrooms based on the needs of the center. Staff are responsible for creating and maintaining a clean and sanitary environment, demonstrating safe and quality supervision during all hours of operation, maintain professional and open lines of communication with enrolled families as well as all staff. Hired staff must be comfortable with assisting with diapering and toilet training when working in the Infant and Toddler Rooms, as well as assisting those in our PreK classroom as needed. Candidates should have a basic understanding of child development, or be willing to learn and adapt to meet the needs of the children enrolled in our center Hired staff will follow our daily schedule, and become knowledgeable with ODJFS Child Care licensing rules and regulations, as well as company policy. Staff should be able to use resources creatively and responsibly, understand the importance of record keeping, attention to detail, and be able to demonstrate appropriate classroom management. All staff members are required to complete professional development, which will be discussed during an interview. Requirements
- Must be 18 or older, hold a high school diploma or meet the following requirement:
- A junior or senior in high school, who is also enrolled in a career tech program for Early childhood education or child development
- Must be able to pass an FBI/BCI background check as required by ODJFS
- Must be able to provide an employee medical statement as required by ODJFS
- Must be a team player, willing to be flexible and assist in classrooms as needed
- Must be able to use technology responsibly and refrain from cell phone usage while on the clock
- Must be willing to complete ODJFS professional development requirements (to be discussed during an interview)
- An established OCCRRA/OPR account
- Experience in a licensed child care center
- Current First Aid and Infant, Adolescent, and Adult CPR
- Current training in recognition of Communicable Disease and Child Abuse & Neglect recognition and reporting
- Professional references who are able to verify attendance and work ethic
