Position Overview STI-TEC is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Intern in Physics to join our team. This internship presents a unique opportunity to apply your knowledge of physical principles to support projects within the GovCon sector, particularly in Research, Development, Test & Evaluation (RDT&E). You will work alongside experienced professionals, gaining hands-on experience in a collaborative environment focused on mission systems and supporting the warfighter.Essential Job Function
- Assist in the analysis and interpretation of physical data related to RDT&E projects.
- Support the development and testing of physical models and simulations.
- Collaborate with engineers and scientists to solve complex problems using principles of physics.
- Conduct literature reviews and research to stay current with advancements in relevant physical theories and applications.
- Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings and contribute to project documentation.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to brainstorming sessions on innovative solutions.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Physics, Applied Physics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with computational modeling and simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB, Python).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- A passion for applying physics concepts to real-world challenges in defense and national security.
- U.S. Citizenship
- Experience with experimental physics techniques and data analysis.
- Understanding of systems dynamics, electromagnetism, or fluid dynamics.
- Interest in government contracting and defense-related research.
