Job Summary

A leading organization in the energy and technology sector is seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Architect with hands-on expertise in architecting and designing on-premises IT infrastructure. This role is responsible for the end-to-end design, development, and operation of robust infrastructure solutions, ensuring alignment with established architecture principles and operational standards.

Job Description

• Design and develop IT infrastructure components, including compute and storage platforms.
• Perform system integration, capacity planning, and performance monitoring.
• Automate infrastructure processes to support development and operational needs.
• Develop prototypes and proof-of-concepts to evaluate design patterns and non-functional requirements.
• Collaborate with teams across Development, Operations, Security, and Compliance to support system and application needs.
• Mentor and guide other technical team members, contributing to knowledge sharing and team growth.
• Ensure solutions meet organizational standards and support long-term architectural goals.
• Communicate technical goals and designs effectively through strong written and verbal communication.
• Perform end-to-end testing for performance, scalability, and other non-functional requirements.
  
• Resolve complex design and development issues using innovative approaches.
  
• Research and evaluate new tools and technologies for continuous platform improvement.
  
• Provide recommendations to leadership based on technical expertise.
  
• Expand and maintain proficiency in core infrastructure technologies.

Skills Required

• Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience beyond educational requirements.
• Strong background in on-premises or private cloud infrastructure architecture.
  
• Deep experience with VMWare technologies, including vSphere, NSX, and vRealize.
  
• Expertise in storage and networking technologies such as VxBlock, VxRail, NetApp, vSAN, and Cisco.
  
• Experience in automation and orchestration tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
  
• Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems, and middleware such as app servers, web servers, and databases.
  
• Preferred experience with Containers (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker) and public cloud platforms (e.g., Azure).
  
• Preferred scripting and basic development knowledge.
  
• Prior involvement in major infrastructure projects (e.g., data center refreshes, infrastructure roadmaps).
  
• Demonstrated experience delivering end-to-end infrastructure solutions through full lifecycle phases.

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field required.
• Equivalent combination of education and professional experience will be considered.
