Here is what is true right now: we have a beautiful 81-unit community in Canton, Ohio, a talented team of closers on-site, and real momentum. What we do not yet have is someone whose sole focus is getting people through the door. That is the gap you would fill. This is not a seat-behind-the-desk role. The Sales Director at Aviva Hills is a connector, a relationship builder, and a community presence. You will be out in the market every day, building the referral networks and lead pipelines that turn a strong community into a full one. What you will own
Your scorecard is simple: occupancy. Aviva Hills runs 61 assisted living units and 20 memory care units. You are responsible for driving the lead flow and referral activity that gets us to 100% and builds a wait list. The closers are already here. Your job is to make sure they are never waiting for someone to talk to.
In your first twelve months, you will build something durable:
- A referral network built on genuine relationships with local physicians, discharge planners, social workers, senior service organizations, and community connectors
- A consistent lead generation engine that produces predictable inquiry volume month over month
- A visible local brand presence that puts Aviva Hills on the map in the Canton market
- A partnership calendar of events, outreach, and community touchpoints that keeps referral sources engaged
- A clear handoff rhythm with the on-site sales team so no lead falls through the cracks
What You Will Get to Use
You bring the kind of experience and instincts that let you hit the ground running. Here is what will serve you well in this seat:
- At least two years in a related sales or business development role, with a strong preference for direct senior living experience
- A background in marketing, business administration, or a related field from an accredited college or university (equivalent experience is equally valued)
- Polished communication skills across every channel, written, verbal, and in front of a room, because this role is as much ambassador as salesperson
- Genuine warmth and patience when engaging with older adults and their families, who are navigating one of the most significant decisions of their lives
- Strong organizational skills and the self-discipline to manage a full calendar of outreach without someone hovering over you
- A phone screen with our talent team to confirm mutual fit and cover the basics
- A conversation with the Executive Director focused on your approach to market development and relationship building
- A site visit to Aviva Hills so you can see the community and meet the team
- A final offer conversation covering comp structure and start timeline
What Working Here Is Actually Like
We promote autonomy. We are not a typical corporate structure, and we do not want to be. There are no layers of approvals slowing you down, no rigid playbooks telling you how to build your territory. We hire adults and trust them to get their work done.
This role is roughly 80% in the field, which means if you are someone who thrives when you are out meeting people, building relationships, and making things happen, you will feel right at home. If you want structure handed to you or prefer working from a fixed desk all day, this is probably not the right fit, and that is okay.
You will report directly to the Executive Director of Aviva Hills and have the backing of the Aviva Senior Living platform across thirteen states. The resources are there. The community is strong. What is missing is the person who owns the market.

Compensation
This role offers a base salary plus commission. The plan is structured individually based on experience and is designed to reward exactly what this role is here to do: drive occupancy. We are happy to have a direct conversation about what makes sense for the right person.
