Overview
Registered Nurse, Observation Unit (Telemetry) – Zanesville, Ohio, United States. Travel assignment in a clinic setting. Start date: 09/21/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $1,827–$1,899 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: 3x12-hour days (7:00 am–7:30 pm); every other weekend required. The RN will primarily staff the 1S Observation Unit but may float to other Med-Surg units and, with appropriate skills, possibly the ED.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on the Observation Unit, monitoring evolving conditions and responding to changes in patient status
- Read and interpret Telemetry/BCRA readings; recognize arrhythmias and intervene per policy and physician orders
- Administer medications and therapies prescribed, document administration accurately in the electronic health record
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team, convey patient status to physicians, and implement care plans
- Float to other Med-Surg units and, if skilled, to the ED as needed; ensure safe patient handoffs and transitions
- Maintain documentation, adherence to infection control protocols, and patient safety standards; participate in routine rounds and patient education

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in Ohio
- Minimum 3 years of Telemetry experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Epic EMR proficiency required (refresher training or 1:1 coaching not available)
- Ability to read Telemetry/BCRA data and pass on-day competency assessment
- Flexibility to float to other Med-Surg units and possibly the ED as needed
- Start date: 09/21/2026; End date: 12/21/2026
- Education: RN degree from an accredited program and eligibility to practice in Ohio (as applicable)
