Step into a high-precision world at Cutting Dynamics, LLC in Avon, Ohio—part of the Re:Build family—where aerospace components are crafted with exacting care. Your shift begins at 3:00pm, when you review customer blueprints, confirm tolerances to AS9100 standards, and prepare your Wire EDM workstation for production.

A day in the life

As the floor comes alive, you set up and run Wire EDM for production parts and tooling. Between cycles, you verify dimensions with metrology equipment, finish Bridgeport milling tasks, and stage materials for CNC milling. You’ll assist with first-part qualifications on 3 & 5-axis routers, run small batches, troubleshoot issues to keep flow steady, and document results. Throughout, you work safely, use hand tools confidently, and contribute ideas that make our Lean improvements stick.

2nd Shift Hours: 3:00pm-1:30am (Monday thru Thursday, four 10hr shifts)

What you’ll do

• Set up and operate Wire EDM equipment for production parts and tooling builds.
• Use metrology tools correctly to verify features and dimensions.
• Interpret customer blueprints; hold tolerances in line with AS9100 requirements.
• Operate production equipment and hand tools safely, accurately, and efficiently.
• Complete Bridgeport milling tasks; set up and run WEDM machines.
• Prepare stock for CNC milling; assist with first-part qualifications on 3 & 5-axis routers.
• Run short production lots, troubleshoot, and maintain efficient workflow.
• Keep the work area clean; follow all safety procedures.
• Support Lean improvements and help wherever production needs arise.

What you bring

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree or equivalent STEM experience preferred.
• Hands-on experience with Wire EDM; familiarity with Bridgeport mills preferred.
• Basic computer skills; exposure to CAM software is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and a commitment to quality.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and hit production deadlines.
• Language skills: able to read, write, and understand English.
