Industrial Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production and facility equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable manufacturing operations. This role supports uptime through preventive maintenance and fast response to equipment issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair industrial manufacturing equipment, including conveyors, motors, pumps, gearboxes, and automated machinery

• Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting on motors, sensors, VFDs, and control panels

• Diagnose and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems

• Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar); make minor edits as needed

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance per CMMS schedules

• Respond to breakdowns to minimize downtime

• Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and manuals

• Install, modify, and align equipment as required

• Maintain accurate maintenance documentation

• Follow all safety policies, including lockout/tagout and OSHA standards

• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or certification preferred

• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment

• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills

• Experience with PLC troubleshooting and industrial controls

• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems

• Ability to read schematics and technical documentation

• Willingness to work assigned shift, overtime, or on-call as needed

Preferred Skills

• PLC programming or advanced troubleshooting

• CMMS experience

• Welding or fabrication experience
