Hebron New Life Church - Worship Leader needed .

We are a Biblically conservative Global Methodist church with an attendance of around 170 people. We continue to reach new people from all walks of life. We dress in casual clothes so that no one feels out of place. We also have great ministries for every age.

Our mission is to help all people Know Jesus, Connect with each other and serve God.

We are looking for someone to lead our small worship team to help our congregation sing and give praise to God using both traditional and current contemporary worship songs.

**Position Overview:** We have both a 9:00 traditional and 10:30 Contemporary Sunday morning service. You will be working closely with the pastoral team to enhance the overall worship atmosphere for both services. **Approximate Hours** Total of 15 -20 hours a week. Compensation is based on education, certifications and experience. A range of $20,000.00 to $30,000.00 a year.

**Qualifications:** 1 or 2 years of experience leading worship. Be able to play an instrument or instruments with excellence. To be able to sing on key while leading us in worship and be able to help team members learn their parts for each song. Be able to lead with grace and love while being honest about how it sounds.

Be able to use and create chord / lyric charts for band members. Be willing to work with/audition new musicians to help them grow.

Responsibilities

1. **Musical Leadership:** Lead and direct the worship band and vocalists during rehearsals and live services. Select and arrange appropriate songs that align with the church's theology. Encourage the congregation to sing and worship God.

2. **Worship Planning:** Be willing to learn Planning Center and Propresenter computer programs for planning weekly worship services and for scheduling band members. Have the songs scheduled in advance so that team members can practice at home. Coordinate a singer/musician weekly schedule rotation.

3. **Spiritual Guidance:** Embody a strong personal faith in Christ and a commitment to spiritual growth. Encourage and mentor team members in their spiritual and musical journeys. Begin practice by sharing prayer concerns and prayer.

4. **Technical Coordination:** Have a willingness to learn about the basic sound system and to coordinate with audiovisual teams.

5. **Team Building:** Be willing to recruit, train, and develop musicians and vocalists within the church community. Foster a positive and collaborative atmosphere within the worship team.
