The shift is during the day, working 8-hour shifts. The role requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant setting. Nurses will provide care to patients diagnosed with cancer. Services include emotional support, oncology rehabilitation, and fertility preservation consulting. The registered nurse will assist in psychosocial oncology services, offering counseling and support. Tasks include dressing changes, setting up sterile procedure trays, and specimen collection. Office duties consist of handling pharmacy calls and patient refill requests. Interpretation of laboratory results is a key responsibility in this role. The nurse will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including pharmacists and social services. Patient health questionnaires and medication reconciliation will be part of routine assessments. This position also requires effective communication and telephone triage skills. Candidates must be able to provide comprehensive care coordination for cancer survivors. Holistic approaches and integrative oncology services are part of the patient care offerings.
