Automotive Mechanic

VIP Motors is hiring an Automotive Mechanic to join our dealership team in Aurora, Indiana.

We are looking for a dependable and experienced mechanic who can diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles. The right candidate should have strong mechanical knowledge, be able to work efficiently, and take pride in doing quality work.

This position is a good opportunity for someone with automotive repair experience who wants to grow with a local dealership.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicle issues
• Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, filters, fluids, and inspections
• Repair brakes, suspension, steering, engines, transmissions, and electrical systems
• Inspect vehicles for safety and needed repairs
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify problems
• Perform tire services, battery replacement, and other general repairs
• Keep the work area clean and organized
• Communicate repair needs clearly with management
• Complete work in a timely and professional manner
• Help prepare vehicles for sale and customer delivery

Qualifications

• Previous automotive mechanic experience required
• Strong knowledge of vehicle systems and repair procedures
• Ability to diagnose and fix mechanical and electrical problems
• Experience with brakes, suspension, engines, and general maintenance
• Must be dependable, organized, and detail-oriented
• Ability to work in a fast-paced dealership environment
• Valid driver’s license required
• ASE certification is a plus, but not required
• Own tools are preferred

Pay

• Pay based on experience
• Competitive pay for qualified mechanics

Schedule

• Full-time
• 40 hours per week
