Your Responsibilities
- Analyze and design structural systems using steel, concrete, wood, and masonry for a variety of building types.
- Prepare construction documents, technical drawings, and engineering specifications in partnership with project teams.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and consultants throughout all phases of design and construction.
- Conduct site evaluations and structural assessments to ensure code compliance and construction accuracy.
- Review submittals and shop drawings, and produce clear, organized engineering reports and calculations.
- Participate in project meetings and support planning, scheduling, and presentation efforts.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s degree is a plus).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain it shortly after hire.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in structural engineering, preferably within a consulting firm.
- Familiarity with structural design codes (IBC, AISC, ACI, ASCE) and relevant engineering standards.
- Experience with structural analysis/design software such as RAM, RISA, ETABS, and Revit.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects concurrently.
