Job Title: Quality Assurance Technician (Part-Time)

Location: 20 Pitman Road, Westerville, VT 05678 (Onsite)

Duration: 5 Months Contract with possible extension

Key days: Monday & Tuesday (day shift)

20 hours per week (flexible schedule – Wed, Thu & Fri)

Exact daily hours flexible based on candidate availability

Weekend coverage may be required based on production needs

** Position Summary:

**

Under the direction of the Quality Assurance Supervisor, the Quality Assurance Technician ensures compliance with food safety, regulatory, and quality standards. This role performs microbiological, chemical, and physical testing of in-process and finished products, conducts audits, environmental swabbing, and completes pre-shipment documentation reviews.

** Key Responsibilities:

**

• Conduct routine analysis of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods
• Perform microbiological testing (coliform, yeast, Mold, etc.)
• Complete physical testing (pH, moisture, salt, butterfat)
• Support HACCP prerequisite programs, documentation, and training
• Maintain QA records and testing logs
• Create and update Quality SOPs
• Review pre-shipment product documentation
• Conduct sensory evaluations
• Manage retain sample inventory
• Perform environmental swabbing
• Follow GLP, safety, and environmental requirements
• Maintain QA lab cleanliness and inventory
• Communicate findings and escalate issues to QA leadership
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Provide weekend coverage as required
• Perform additional QA duties as assigned

** Required Qualifications:

**

• 18 years or older
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to read, write, follow instructions, and perform basic math

** Preferred Qualifications

**

:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience in a food manufacturing environment (dairy preferred)
• Knowledge of food chemistry, microbiology, food safety regulations
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Self-directed and collaborative team player
• Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
