Maintenance Electrician - SB
- Perform preventive maintenance work.
- Assist with equipment installations and start-up.
- Perform tooling changeovers.
- Perform electromechanical technical troubleshooting.
- Installs and repairs electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in buildings.
- Installs conduits and pipes to house electrical wires and cables.
- Ensures all electrical work complies with electrical codes.
- Installs circuit breakers and other electrical hardware and connects wiring to them.
- Test and troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment to ensure proper installation and operation.
- Inspects electrical systems to determine whether repairs are needed.
- Set-up and maintain manufacturing and assembly equipment.
- Document maintenance activity as required.
- Perform housekeeping duties.
- Assist with maintaining spare parts system.
- Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining a PM system.
- Minimize unscheduled downtime.
- Use, verify, and support lockout tag-out procedure including all applicable de-energization methods.
- Follow all applicable safety practices while performing electrical work (e.g., arc flash and shock protection).
- Participate in PFMEA, work instruction, and continuous improvement reviews.
- Ensure that equipment meets all applicable industrial standards (e.g., no missing guards).
- Identify and implement continuous improvement projects (e.g., cost reduction, efficiency improvement).
- Assist with execution of facility projects.
- Support weekend and off-shift work as required.
- Set-up, maintain and operate the machine shop equipment.
- Maintain the maintenance shop.
- Support the production operator.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- Adhere to federal and state regulations.
- Adhere to all company policies, processes, and procedures.
- Performs other duties as requested, directed, or designed
- Predictable and reliable attendance.
- Electrician degree from a technical college, Maintenance Technician associate degree, certificate program(s), or equivalent experience.
- Minimum three (3) years of electrical maintenance experience in an automated manufacturing environment.
- Journeyman status or State license preferred.
- Working knowledge of facility-related equipment (e.g., HVAC, air compressors, pumps and chillers).
- Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to work side by side with service providers as required to maintain equipment and the facility.
- Ability to follow directions as assigned.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical issues.
- Working knowledge of Programable Logic Controller (PLC) -based equipment.
- Working knowledge of basic troubleshooting of robot equipment.
- Working knowledge of MRP Systems.
- Working knowledge of quality and environmental management systems.
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, and Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS).

- Visual acuity to follow hand signals, maintain logs and inspect and maintain machinery.
- Prolonged periods of standing, walking, stretching, kneeling, bending, crouching, climbing stairs and climbing ladders.
- Must be able to bend, lift, stretch, stoop, push, pull, stand, and carry as needed to inspect, service, and operate machinery, equipment, and gauges.
- Must be able to maintain attention for long periods of time.
- Ability to perform the job while working at elevated heights (e.g., in an aerial lift or on a roof).
- Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines and inspect parts produced.
- Must have good hand/eye coordination.
- Ability to maintain single-task focus and situational awareness.
- Must be able to physically operate & repair heavy equipment.
- Ability to lift, pull or carry 30 pounds multiple times per shift.
- The ability to respond quickly to sounds.
- The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.
- The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations.
- The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly most of the day.
- The ability to successfully complete position specific pre-placement requirements.
