National Key Account Sales Manager Location Cleveland, OH :

Roechling Industrial Cleveland has been a pioneer in the manufacturing of commercial fiberglass products since 1946. In the electrical insulation industry, the journey began with the production of semi-finished sheet, rod, and custom profiles. Since then, we have diversified into servicing other industrial sectors such as ballistics, corrosion, thermal insulation, and other custom needs. We have an exciting opportunity for a National Key Account Sales Manager at our South Euclid, OH facility.

The ideal candidate has a degree and experience in sales and marketing of performance plastic materials or customized fabricated plastic components. The role is targeted for a person who has the motivation and both technical and leadership ability to progressively assume broader responsibilities at a higher level in the organization. This challenging and rewarding position will require significant travel domestically and to parts of Canada.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead account management efforts with customers, distributors, and fabricators to drive sales of standard and customized products for commercial applications, especially the electrical power generation, transmission, and distribution market.
  • Regularly visit customers and end-users to gather market intelligence; reliably prepare forecasts, predict upcoming requirements, monitor request for quotations, and negotiate pricing and contracts.
  • Provide insight into potential applications and assist formulation of company's long-term sales strategy with customers.
  • Full understanding of Roechling's capabilities and the customers' needs to drive new product opportunities.
  • Interact with current and potential customers as well as end-users to determine technical requirements for new applications, provide customer support, troubleshoot, and resolve existing problems.
  • Regularly interface with and work effectively with various departments of the company to include customer service, operations, purchasing, new product development, and other sales and marketing management personnel.
  • Serve as an ambassador by representing the company during customer visits, conferences and exhibitions, and at professional society meetings.

Knowledge and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or marketing with 2-4 years sales experience in technical plastic materials or customized plastic products.
  • Capable of managing a variety of projects and programs simultaneously and efficiently.
  • High-energy, self-motivated, and responsible with mature judgment and initiative.
  • Proficient at time management with the ability to “make things happen” without a large support organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work with all levels of customers and internal management.
  • Proactive salesperson who is action-oriented, driven to succeed, results-oriented, and proficient at “closing the deal”.
  • Team-oriented with the success of the company as the main objective.
  • Proficient in MS Office with the ability to create effective detailed reports and sales documents, develop and populate spreadsheets, and put together professional presentations for both internal and external audiences.
  • Willingness to travel to customers and end user locations; total travel up to 60%.
  • Career motivated with both technical and leadership ability and the willingness to progressively assume broader responsibilities at a higher level in the organization.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
