Apply Online The Conversion Engineer is primarily responsible for converting and migrating client's existing data from their legacy system to Tyler's applications. The Conversion Engineer simultaneously works on multiple projects performing data analysis and development of programs/scripts of varying complexities. The resource provides support to Tyler staff as well as clients to provide high-quality and accurate converted data to allow Tyler software functions to execute as expected for our clients. Work with our technology-driven solutions for property assessment and tax software and mass appraisal services. From data collection to computer-assisted mass appraisal to tax billing and collections, you can help develop property and recording solutions for the public sector. Location Remote | Dayton Metropolitan Area, Ohio Responsibilities Design, develop, and execute procedures to convert client data in various environments (SQL, Java, etc.) Learn, use, and maintain an established set of internal tools and other technologies as necessary Collaborate with implementation staff and clients to develop data conversion procedures that meet client business rules Perform in-depth data analysis to identify data patterns and anomalies Perform intermediate troubleshooting of conversion logic Perform data verification and balancing of values between old and new systems Stay current with technologies and current database concepts Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field or relevant work experience Ability to work well within a deadline-oriented development structure Ability to work well both independently and within a team environment Strong technical abilities and desire to learn new things] Strong attention to detail and analytic thinking skills Excellent interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication skill, teamwork and customer service skills Familiarity with programming languages such as SQL, Java experience a plus Ability to work in Windows, and work with all our remote access tools (Remote Desktop, Bomgar, etc) Strong familiarity with the Microsoft Office Strong understanding of database structures, how to create databases, import and export data in and out of a database (i.e. SQL Server, Oracle, etc) State-Specific Salary Range Disclosure Requirements Salary will generally fall between $51,035 - $95,000 before adjustment for geographic differences.
