Job Summary

The Industrial Factory Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in an industrial manufacturing environment. This role ensures all electrical operations run safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable codes and regulations to minimize downtime and support continuous production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems including motors, PLCs, control panels, VFDs, sensors, and power distribution systems

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults in production machinery and facility systems

  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical equipment

  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals

  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and company procedures (OSHA, NEC, etc.)

  • Assist with equipment upgrades, retrofits, and new installations

  • Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to resolve issues quickly

  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation

  • Respond to emergency breakdowns and provide on-call support as required

  • Identify opportunities to improve system reliability and energy efficiency

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical or trade school preferred)

  • Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent certification (as required by local regulations)

  • 3+ years of experience as an industrial or manufacturing electrician

  • Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems (480V, 3-phase, control circuits)

  • Experience working with PLCs and automation systems (troubleshooting level)

  • Ability to use electrical testing equipment (multimeters, megohmmeters, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a high-volume manufacturing or factory setting

  • PLC programming experience (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar)

  • Knowledge of robotics, conveyors, or automated production lines

  • CMMS experience for maintenance tracking

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Good communication and documentation skills

  • Willingness to work shifts, overtime, or weekends as needed

  • Industrial factory environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and electrical hazards

  • Standing, walking, climbing, and lifting up to [X] lbs
