Roles & Responsibilities

• Screen, evaluate, and treat patients to restore function and mobility
• Develop and update individualized treatment and discharge plans of care
• Document therapy services accurately and in a timely manner
• Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants and Rehab Techs per state practice acts
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams and families to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory standards

Qualifications

• Graduate of an APTA-accredited Physical Therapy program (DPT, MSPT, or BSPT)
• Active state Physical Therapy license (or ability to obtain before start)
• Strong communication, documentation, and clinical skills
• Flexibility to adapt to varying facilities, schedules, and patient needs

Education

• Graduate of an APTA-accredited Physical Therapy program (DPT/MSPT/BSPT)

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient evaluation and evidence-based treatment planning
• Therapy documentation and regulatory compliance
• Supervision and delegation to PTAs and Rehab Techs
• Interdisciplinary collaboration and patient/family education
• Time management and adaptability in skilled nursing settings
