Garage Door Install Technician

Are you an experienced technician looking for a fresh challenge? Our garage door technician position might be perfect for you! You will be in charge of installing garage doors in homes and commercial buildings, in addition to training other technicians. Our technicians work on renovations, new installations, and repairs, so every day is a little bit different. You will interact with customers and represent our company every day in all of our service areas, so you need to be able to deliver excellent service. You must be proficient with power tools and have a fundamental knowledge of how electrical systems operate in order to perform this job. Apply right away if this sounds like a great opportunity. Responsibilities:

• Complete a thorough inspection, make a precise diagnosis of any problems with the present system, and give the customer their options
• Use software to take notes, create quotes, and send invoices
• Keep all appointments and arrive at the customer's specified time
• Participate in company meetings and adhere to company procedures
• Accurately measure openings for installation and site checks for bigger jobs
• Gain comprehensive knowledge of all products, enhance mechanical skills, and learn new installation techniques to meet our high standards of quality workmanship with minimal warranty issues.
• Implement safe work practices and maintain a safe working environment.
• Ensure all job tickets are accurately completed, signed, and submitted.
• Communicate with management regarding any problems or changes in the scope of work.
• Maintain truck inventory and develop an understanding of all parts, including their numbers and descriptions.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to use a measuring tape along with math and problem-solving skills
• A solid understanding of electrical circuitry and connections
• Effective communication, listening, and teamwork skills are necessary
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent GED certificate
• For this role, you need to have outstanding skills in providing service to customers
• Minimum of 3 years of commercial garage door lead experience.
