Due to growth, we’re looking for a skilled, safety-driven Certified Crane Operator with tree industry experience to join our team.

This is not a beginner position. We are seeking an experienced professional who understands the precision, communication, and safety required when operating a crane in complex tree removals. If you are not a certified crane operator with tree service experience, please do not apply.

Position Summary

The Crane Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating company crane equipment for residential and commercial tree removals. This role works closely with crew leaders and ground personnel to execute complex removals with precision, while maintaining strict adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate crane equipment during tree removals and large-scale projects
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections
• Communicate clearly with crew members during lifts
• Calculate load weights and ensure proper rigging techniques are used
• Maintain crane safety standards and OSHA compliance
• Assist with job site setup and breakdown
• Support overall crew productivity and efficiency

Required Qualifications

• Certified Crane Operator license (required)
• Proven experience operating a crane for tree work (required)
• Valid Class A CDL (required)
• Clean driving record
• Ability to commute to our Wadsworth, OH shop daily
• Strong understanding of load charts, proper cribbing, and setup
• Commitment to safety and team communication
