Senior Software Engineer (Frontend)

Awetomaton is seeking a Front-End focused Senior Software Engineer to support customers at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio. In this role you will interface with end-users to understand and refine requirements for applications supporting mission needs. You will be applying expertise in JavaScript and modern web frameworks to enable rapid search, discovery, visualization, and retrieval of data. The ideal candidate will possess a BS degree or higher in engineering or related field with 10-15 years of experience. This position will largely be performed onsite at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, with convenient access to nearby Beavercreek corporate headquarters for meetings and team collaboration. Active Top Secret security clearance required.

• Expert in modern web application technologies including TypeScript, React, NodeJS, etc


• Experienced deploying web applications via containerization


• UI/UX excellence

Req uired Experience and Skills

• Ten (10) years of minimum experience in a software focused engineering career (Software Engineer, Computer Science, etc.)


• Five (5) years of minimum experience developing web applications with React


• Five (5) years of minimum experience in JavaScript / TypeScript, CSS/SASS/LESS, HTML


• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Engineering discipline


• Mastery of software configuration management using Git.


• Experience with Container Technology (Docker / podman / etc.)

Desired Education and Experience

• Master of Science in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Engineering discipline


• In-scope Counter Intelligence (CI) Polygraph.


• Background in remote sensing technologies and sensors, particularly with Overhead Persistent InfraRed (OPIR) system


• Ten (10) years of experience developing web applications with modern web app frameworks (e.g. React, Angular, etc)


• Ten (10) years of experience with JavaScript / TypeScript, CSS / SASS / LESS, HTML


• Experience following GitFlow and GitOps workflows using team repository (GitHub / Gitlab / etc.)


• Demonstrable excellence in UI/UX


• Expertise with Container Technology (Docker / podman / etc.)
