Position Title: Welder -- Experienced (All Welding Methods)
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Welder to join our team in a dynamic switchgear manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be proficient in all major forms of welding, including MIG, Stick, and Flux-Core, and will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal components according to technical drawings and specifications. This position plays a key role in ensuring the structural integrity and quality of our electrical enclosures, frames, and custom metalwork for switchgear systems.Key Responsibilities:
- Perform MIG, TIG, Stick, and Flux-Core welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Cut, shape, and prepare metal parts for welding using saws, torches, grinders, plasma cutter and other tools.
- Inspect completed welds for quality, structural soundness, and conformance to specifications.
- Collaborate with engineering and assembly teams to ensure precision and alignment in welded components.
- Maintain welding equipment and ensure a safe, clean work environment.
- Adhere to company safety procedures and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in welding preferred.
- Minimum 3--5 years of professional welding experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques, materials, tools, and safety practices.
- Ability to work from detailed instructions and engineering drawings with minimal supervision.
- AWS certification a plus.
