Assistant Technician

Looking to earn extra cash while gaining hands-on technical experience? Join us as a Temporary Assistant Technician supporting daily operations in food waste processing and energy conversion. This role is perfect for individuals with practical technical skills and an interest in sustainability and clean technology.

Schedule & Pay:

• Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

• Pay: $21/hour

What You’ll Do

• Inspect, breakdown, clean, and stack organic material bins
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, reporting concerns to Lead Technician or Managers in real time
• Operate hand pallet jacks
• Assist Lead Technician with basic preventive maintenance tasks and other operational activities as assigned
• Participate in shift handoff meetings, scheduled trainings, and other assigned meetings
• Perform other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements

• Frequently lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Frequently bend, stand, walk, sit, and kneel
• Operate equipment and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift
• Work in varying on-site conditions including temperature changes, humidity, and wet areas

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience preferred
• Experience in a manufacturing/production environment preferred
• 6–12 months of maintenance, industrial maintenance, or auto mechanic experience preferred
• Experience operating pressure washers and hand pallet jacks preferred
• Basic computer proficiency and math skills
• Reliable and able to work full scheduled dates
• Strong written and verbal communication in English preferred
• Must pass pre-employment background and drug screen
• Good attendance record
