Wellington Regional Medical Center is located in Wellington, Florida. It is a 235-bed, acute care hospital, owned by a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc., a highly respected healthcare management organization. Job Requirements:

Assumes responsibility and accountability for greeting collecting and processing all incoming patient information to gather the necessary demographic requirements in accordance with all regulations and hospital policies to provide care for the patients, procure reimbursement verification from third parties, and maintain records appropriately. Has a willingness to be cross-trained and will float to other areas or departments if the need arises. Recognizes the signs and symptoms of stroke and calling a stroke alert overhead. Verbalizes stroke alert process. Assigns temporary identification of patient (ED only), completes full registration upon patient arrival to the ED. Maintains currency in stroke knowledge by completing the annual 1 hour online training.

Qualifications

High School or GED Diploma

Minimum of 1 year experience in acute care facility or related environment preferred, but not necessary.

Willingness to be cross-trained in other areas. (Admitting, Business Office, ER)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, detail oriented and organizational skills required.

Familiarity with HMO/PPO contracts beneficial
