Specialist - medical education - emergency medicine
In an environment of continuous quality improvement, the GME Accreditation Specialist is provides administrative, project management and accreditation support to Memorial Health System’s graduate medical education programs and to the Graduate Medical Education Committee (GMEC). Exhibits the MHS Standards of Excellence and exercises strict confidentiality at all times.
Job Functions:
- Responsible for the monitoring onboarding and graduation activities of all residents, the institution's review schedule and process, and the day-to-day support needs of the ACGME's designated institutional official (DIO), the program directors, coordinators, and residents.
- Responsible for auditing accreditation, match, licensing, contracting, and certification documentation for all residents.
- Collaborates with GME leadership to develop and implement GME policies and procedures that ensure compliance with ACGME institutional requirements.
- Responsible for leading program coordinator meetings.
- Records minutes for GMEC.
- Assumes all other duties and responsibilities as necessary.
Minimum Education/Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of New Innovations Software, NRMP system, word, excel, PowerPoint.
Special Knowledge, Skills, Training:
- Demonstrated knowledge of administrative practice, policies, and procedures.
- Ability to interact with physicians, administrators.
- Working knowledge of requirements/regulations of ACGME.
Compensation Details: Education, experience, and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
