Administrative Professional I

West Chester Township has an immediate need to fill an Administrative Professional I (API) position. The Administrative Professional I is the face of West Chester Township, greeting and directing customers and residents. This moderately complex professional position provides excellent customer service to the West Chester community. The API is responsible for preparing meeting rooms, email and calendar management, and other office management responsibilities. Excellent communication skills, the ability to exercise sound judgment, and tact when responding to inquiries are essential. This position requires confidentiality, some independent judgment and action, and the aptitude to learn new concepts and ideas concerning local government.

Regular work hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 am – 4:30 pm.

The expected range is $23.17 - $26.65 per hour with other benefits such as the employee lifestyle fund, health and dental insurance, paid holidays, vacation and personal days and tuition reimbursement.

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Two years related experience or combination of training and experience
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Microsoft Office skills
  • Calendar management
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with the Ohio Revised Code, Ohio Sunshine Laws, and record retention practices
  • Prior government experience
  • Laserfiche software experience (document management)
