Job Title: Estate Caretaker (Live-In)

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and trustworthy Estate Caretaker to reside on-site and oversee the day-to-day care, security, and maintenance of a private residential property. This role is responsible for ensuring the home and surrounding grounds are well-maintained, secure, and preserved in excellent condition.

Key Responsibilities

Property Security

• Monitor and maintain the security of the property at all times
• Conduct regular walkthroughs of the home and grounds
• Serve as the primary point of contact for emergencies or security concerns
• Coordinate with local authorities or security services if needed

Maintenance & Repairs

• Perform routine maintenance tasks (basic repairs, inspections, upkeep)
• Monitor systems such as HVAC, plumbing, and electrical
• Coordinate and supervise outside contractors or service providers
• Ensure the property remains in good working order year-round

Cleaning & Upkeep

• Maintain cleanliness of the interior of the home
• Oversee exterior upkeep including landscaping, lawn care, and seasonal tasks (e.g., snow removal, leaf cleanup)
• Ensure the property remains presentable and well-kept at all times

General Oversight

• Manage deliveries, mail, and property-related correspondence
• Keep an inventory of supplies and maintenance needs
• Report any issues or concerns to the property owner or representative
• Ensure the home is ready for visits by family members or guests

Qualifications

• Prior experience in property care, maintenance, or a similar role preferred
• Strong problem-solving and basic handyman skills
• High level of trustworthiness and discretion
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities
• Good communication and organizational skills

Must pass a background check with no felony or criminal history."

Additional Details

• This is a live-in position (housing provided)
• Schedule may include on-call availability for urgent matters
• Compensation based on experience and scope of responsibilities
