Field Technician (Fielder)
We are seeking a dedicated Field Technician to collect and upload images of utility poles electrical distribution activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in visually identifying, inspecting, and recording equipment and structures located in the right-of-way, while maintaining high-quality data standards.
Responsibilities- Travel to the field (ranging from Sandusky, OH, Cincinnati, OH to Pittsburg, PA) of assigned utility poles and take required photos utilizing Katapult and upload the photos accurately into the software.
- Visually identify, inspect, and record equipment and structures in the right-of-way.
- Take detailed field photos that tie directly to engineering/planning software.
- Correlate route map and field photos directly to time stamps and field locations.
- Record attributes and current conditions of overhead and ground-level utility structures.
- Maintain consistent quality data while achieving production standards.
- Use measuring equipment and SLR cameras to establish a photo record.
- Execute and plan daily goals while meeting quality, time, and budget constraints.
- Experience with Katapult
- 1-2 years of previous fielding experience.
- Experience in telecommunication and distribution engineering.
- Ability to use measuring equipment and SLR cameras.
- Valid Drivers License & reliable transportation
The position involves travel from Monday to Friday, with mostly day trips and occasional overnight travel expected. Travel throughout Ohio and Pennsylvania is required (the territory make a triangle between Sandusky, Cincinnati & Pittsburg). Hotels will be booked, and meals can be expensed while in the field. Mileage is compensated at the federal maximum rate.
Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cleveland, OH. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $29.00/hr.
