Sales Floor Associate

We are looking for an efficient, courteous Sales Floor Associate who possesses excellent customer service skills. The Sales Floor Associate is responsible for ensuring that our valued customers have a positive and memorable experience while shopping at HomeBuys. Greeting customers promptly and courteously; guiding customers to departments if necessary; recovering and reorganizing the sales floor; ringing out customers at the cashwrap; and stocking are just some of the tasks that fall under the Sales Floor Associate role.

To succeed as a Sales Floor Associate, you should have a strong work ethic and high level of accuracy. You should be responsible, attentive to customer needs, and committed to providing excellent service.

Responsibilities

• Provides a positive customer experience with fair, friendly, and courteous service
• Registers sales on a cash register by scanning items, itemizing, and totaling customers' purchases
• Resolves customer issues and answers questions
• Provides pricing information by answering questions
• Maintains sales floor operations by following policies and procedures and reporting needed changes
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Education & Skills

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Friendly and positive attitude
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to adapt quickly to new policies and procedures in a fast paced environment
• Attention to detail
• High school diploma or equivalent desired
• 0-1 years of retail experience desired

Physical Requirements

• Able to lift up-to 50 pounds Occasionally
• Pushing/pulling carts and/or pallet jacks containing merchandise in-excess of 50 pounds - Occasionally
• Standing and/or walking - Constantly
• Bending, twisting and/or turning Frequently
• Squatting and/or kneeling Occasionally
• Reaching above shoulder Occasionally
• Hand and eye dexterity relating to register/computer keyboard operations Frequently

Hours & Compensation

• Able to work a flexible schedule: evenings, weekends, and holidays required
• Full time or part time hours available
• Starting rate $12/hour or commensurate with experience
