Safety Coordinator
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist with the coordination and documentation of safety meetings, toolbox talks, and safety committee activities.
- Help manage and organize safety records, inspection reports, and training documentation.
- Conduct basic walkthroughs of warehouse and assembly areas to observe safe work practices.
- Document and report any identified safety concerns or near misses to the Safety Manager.
- Assist in follow-up on open safety corrective actions.
- Help coordinate and track completion of safety training and refreshers.
- Post safety-related signage and communication materials around the facility.
- Assist with new hire safety orientations and facility tours as needed.
- Support incident documentation and help gather information for investigations.
- Help maintain internal safety metrics.
- Support preparation for audits, including documentation gathering and review.
- File SDSs and assist with chemical inventory checks.
Skills:
- OSHA, Safety
Education/Experience:
- Basic understanding of workplace safety practices.
- Strong Computer Knowledge. Must be able to work with applications and a PC without guidance.
- Experience in an assembly environment safety. (Ergonomics Considerations, etc.)
- Able to confidently and comfortably speak in front of small teams.
- Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with employees at all levels
