Standard Work Schedule:
- Monday - Friday 7:00am - 4:00pm. MUST be willing to be flexible as jobs may change.
Position Summary:
The Electrical Project Manager will be responsible for managing project specific plans, operations, changes, resource forecasting, risks, and customer relations.
Position Responsibilities:
- Assist Project Coordinators with critical layouts, manpower loading, and look ahead schedules.
- Develop detailed layout drawings for electrical feeder conduits, equipment, and light fixtures in 2D and Bluebeam for project use and for distribution for BIM coordination.
- Attend and participate in weekly jobsite meetings.
- Manage the project utilizing the estimate provided.
- Create project schedules, including detailed tasks and durations.
- Review and process electrical submittals (lighting, gear, fire alarms, etc.).
- Track delivery dates for critical path materials and packages.
- Create and manage RFI’s.
- Prepare costs estimates for changes in work or scope.
- Create monthly billings based on the project’s percentage of completion and costs.
- Complete accurate contact reports and identifying P & L on projects.
- Accurately complete weekly meeting minutes for assigned projects and communicate and manage the impacts with the project coordinator and GC.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Required: High school diploma or GED..
- Required: 5+ years’ experience in a Project Coordinator role in commercial electrical construction.
- Preferred: 5+ years’ experience with estimating software.
- Required: Clear understanding of accounting and P & L.
- Required: Understanding of how to read all phases of Construction Drawings.
- Required: Understanding of the National Electrical Code and ability to utilize it.
- Required: Ability to work and coordinate multiple projects at once. Ranging from $50,000 - $3,000,000.
- Required: Proficient computer skills in Bluebeam, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, etc.)
- Required: Strong ability to interpret and apply Construction Drawings.
- Required: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Preferred: 10+ years’ experience in commercial electrical construction
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to adhere to standing, walking, bending, squatting, sitting, and lifting.
- Must be able to pick up, lift, carry and move up to 50lbs.
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions including heat, rain, cold and wind, while wearing appropriate personal protection equipment (PPE).
