**Job Title: Flat Laser Operator** **Job Description** Join our expanding team as a Flat Laser Operator in our Marion facility. This role involves operating state-of-the-art laser equipment to produce precision parts for industrial and commercial industries. Be part of a family-owned company with over 40 years of industry experience, offering a supportive and growth-oriented environment. **Responsibilities** + Produce parts and tools from metal or other materials using a CNC laser machine. + Review blueprints for the finished product and adjust the machine settings to control speed, material feed, and cutting path. + Ensure machines are properly set up, maintained, and stocked with necessary materials. + Perform periodic checks to ensure the machines are operating at full capacity and producing quality products. + Inspect finished products to ensure they are defect-free and ready for the next production step. **Essential Skills** + At least 3 years of experience in the manufacturing industry. + Minimum 1-year experience operating a flat laser machine. + At least 3 years of experience with production machinery. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High School Diploma or Equivalent. + Strong communication skills for problem-solving with teammates. + Self-motivated and proactive in staying busy. + Attention to detail, quality, and safety-conscious. + Experience with micrometers, calipers, and depth gauges. + Ability to analyze blueprints and knowledge of manufacturing equipment. + Aptitude for math, problem-solving, and computer skills. + Blueprint reading experience is a plus. + Experience with CNC equipment, machine operation, assembly, and hand grinders. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy working in a family-owned and operated company that values culture and supports growth. Experience a supportive environment with a focus on in-house manufacturing and minimal outsourcing. **Work Environment** Work in a spacious 71,000 square foot job shop environment, primarily serving the automotive industry and other major clients. Collaborate with other welders in a fast-paced, yet easy-going atmosphere. Operate during the first shift, Monday through Friday from 6 AM to 2:30 PM, with occasional Saturday shifts from 6 AM to 10 AM as needed. Dress code includes jeans, shirt, and steel-toed boots, with a uniform provided once hired directly. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Marion, OH. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
