PCW
Assisting with personal hygiene, such as bathing, grooming, oral care, shaving, and dressing.
Helping with toileting and incontinence care while maintaining the client’s dignity and privacy.
Assisting with mobility, including transferring from bed to chair, walking, and helping prevent falls.
Preparing meals and helping with feeding when necessary.
Reminding clients to take medications (unless licensed to administer them, depending on state regulations and employer policies).
Performing light housekeeping, such as laundry, making beds, washing dishes, and keeping living areas clean.
Providing companionship by talking, playing games, accompanying clients on walks, or attending appointments.
Monitoring for changes in the client’s physical or emotional condition and reporting concerns to family members, supervisors, or healthcare professionals.
Assisting with transportation to medical appointments, grocery shopping, or other errands if required.
Keeping accurate records of care provided and documenting any incidents or changes in the client’s condition.
