General Description
The General Manager (GM) provides leadership and management of daily machining operations and scheduling for the machining shop and ensures the safe and effective completion of all machining projects on time, within budget and in a high-quality manner. The GM will use his experience and expertise to identify and resolve any potential problems or concerns during completion of projects.
General Requirements
Direct all daily production jobs and efficiently manage all machine shop resources.
Estimate cost and lead time for quotations to clients.
Actively manage production activities including planning and coordinating scheduling to achieve production targets with required capabilities, yield, and lead time.
Oversees all assigned project personnel, budgets, schedules, purchasing, vendor tracking, labor hour forecasting, invoicing and P&L.
Monitor and oversee the progress, ensuring work complies with specification and client requirements and that every aspect of the finished product is safely completed in a quality manner within the delivery time required and within budget.
Maintain continuous improvement and training and updating of employees in areas of safety, quality, procedures, and policies and ensure strict adherence of all company manufacturing standards, methods, and policies.
Prepare and monitor bid proposals.
Must be able to program and operate equipment and manage machine maintenance.
Proficient use of Microsoft Office software is required in addition to utilization of the Company's job cost and purchasing software system.
Perform purchasing of all materials used in the shops, including raw materials and repair parts.
Establish and maintain relationships with customers, vendors and suppliers.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Must have experiences with manual machining
5+years of supervision experience

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $1100000.00/hr.
