Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic radiographic services on PACS (Efferent) system.
• Update information as appropriate in EMR and PACS.
• Review pertinent clinical information with physician’s/staff prior to exam.
• Preparation of x-ray room prior to exam.
• Explain radiology procedure to patient
• Ensure patients are positioned properly according to protocol.
• Adjust equipment to obtain correct angle
• Modify x-ray views and patient positioning to obtain optimal images secondary to a patient’s diagnosis or their inability to perform standard positioning.
• Take preventive steps to avoid unnecessary exposure to radiation
• Transfer patient to imaging table (may involve lifting, bracing and/or supporting patient’s body weight).
• Critique images for overall quality prior to recording in patients x-ray file
• Maintain professional registries and licenses as mandated by employer.
• Participate in continuing education activities as required by registry.
• Perform all work duties as assigned to meet the needs of the department

Required Experience:

• ARRT registered, State of Delaware license, trained on PACS systems.
• 2- 3 years of relevant experience required.
• Availability to work on Weekends
