About the Role:

Under the supervision of the VP Engineering the Manager Engineering will drive the development maintenance and enhancement of a digital fraud detection platform. Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the United States based on manager approval.

You Will:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to help deliver engineering products to identify and protect Remitly and its customers against remittance fraud attacks.

• Plan gather requirements architect and implement rollout of experimental and actual applications.

• Balance system quality and feature velocity through flexibility within the team.

• Develop operational and engineering excellence roadmap and execute the roadmap to ensure appropriate technical priorities to reach short- and long-term goals.

You Have:

• Position requires a Masters degree in Computer Science Computer Engineering Information Systems or a related STEM field and 3 years of experience with developing reliable and scalable applications and services.

• 2 years of experience with launching digital features and scalable infrastructure that meets customer needs;

• 2 years of experience with developing enhanced user experiences by redesigning workflows prototyping new features and ensuring continuous integration;

• 2 years of experience with functional and automated integration testing;

• 2 years of experience with structuring and scaling Agile development processes;

• 2 years of experience with leading technical teams including recruiting strategy sourcing structuring loops interviewing and closing candidates;

• 2 years of experience with mentoring engineers on technical skills through design and code review and leading performance evaluation and career development;

• 2 years of experience with architecting production scale services;

• 2 years of experience with protecting financial data with Hardware Security Module (HSMs); and

• 2 years of experience with C# Confluence Git Java JIRA object-oriented programming languages PHP Python scripting languages and SQL.

Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is typically $286270.00 - $291000.00 per the U.S. Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
