Intervention Specialist
Peak Potential Therapy is a multidisciplinary pediatric therapy practice dedicated to helping children build meaningful skills, confidence, and independence. Our team works together across education, therapy, and behavioral support to provide individualized services in a structured, supportive, and child-centered environment.
We are looking for a dedicated Intervention Specialist who wants to do meaningful work as part of a collaborative team. The Intervention Specialist will provide educational and developmental support to children in individual and small-group settings. This position supports skill development in areas such as school readiness, communication, social participation, daily routines, functional learning, and participation in structured activities.
The ideal candidate is patient, dependable, organized, and comfortable working as part of a collaborative team. We are looking for someone who can bring structure, warmth, creativity, and consistency to each child's learning experience.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct educational support to children in individual and small-group settings
- Implement individualized instructional strategies based on each child's goals and current skill level
- Support children with school readiness, functional learning, communication, social participation, daily routines, and structured activities
- Prepare and adapt age-appropriate learning materials and activities
- Collaborate with supervisors, therapists, team members, and families to promote consistent support
- Document progress and maintain accurate records as required
- Participate in team meetings, training, and care coordination as needed
- Help create a positive, organized, and engaging environment for children
- Use feedback from supervisors and team members to support professional growth and quality of care
- Follow company policies, confidentiality requirements, and professional standards
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field preferred
- Ohio Intervention Specialist License preferred
- Experience working with children in an educational, clinical, childcare, or therapeutic setting preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow individualized plans and implement feedback from supervisors
- Dependable, professional, and committed to supporting children and families
- Comfortable working in a collaborative, team-based environment
- Experience supporting children with individualized educational or developmental goals
- Experience in a school, clinic, early childhood, or pediatric setting
- Familiarity with structured teaching strategies, visual supports, progress monitoring, and individualized instruction
- Experience communicating professionally with families and team members
