Learn more at rittal.us This position will lead the development and execution of long-term facility strategies, ensuring alignment with corporate goals. Primary Activities/Duties :
- Lead the development and execution of a long-term facilities strategy that supports overall company objectives.
- Oversee facility projects from design through implementation, including managing budgets, timelines, and resources.
- Design, install, and manage facility systems such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and energy management to ensure they are safe, efficient, and compliant with regulations.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure the reliable and efficient operation of all facility equipment and systems.
- Ensure all facilities and operations comply with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Monitor facility performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement new technologies or methodologies to enhance efficiency and sustainability.
- Develop and manage facility budgets and coordinate with and manage external contractors and vendors.
- Work with other departments, such as operations and maintenance, to ensure facility engineering solutions are seamlessly integrated with daily operations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or Facilities Management.
- Strong understanding of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing), automation, and energy management.
- Strong project management skills, including budgeting and timeline management.
- Experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software and Building Management Systems (BMS).
- Familiarity with industry-specific regulations, codes, and standards.
- Minimum of 10 years of diversified, hands-on new facility start-ups.
- Experience in working with sheet metal fabrication/manufacturing and engineering professionals preferred.
- Six Sigma Green Belt certified, Black Belt preferred.
- Strong knowledge with Microsoft Office products and SAP is preferred.
Must work in both office and plant floor environment. Physical Requirements :
Requires long durations on the manufacturing floor and/or long durations in the office at a computer. Stand, walk, bend, twist, and reach frequently throughout the work shift. Must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds, waist level. Mental Requirements :
Work in a fast-paced environment, adapt to assignment changes easily, ability to multi-task, learn office procedures and learn and use new software. Must be detailed oriented; communicate effectively via oral and written with all levels of vendors and colleagues. Safety Requirements :
Wear safety-toed footwear, safety glasses with side shields, hearing protection and additional personal protective equipment where required. Direction & Decision Making :
Complete directives given either verbally or written, make and assist in determining logical decisions. Relationship :
