CNC (Computer Numerically Controlled) Machine Tool
Job Summary:
The CNC Machine Operator is responsible for loading parts into the CNC machine carousel, monitoring the machining process, and handling finished parts. This role includes performing basic machine maintenance tasks, ensuring product quality, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load individual parts into the CNC machine carousel and monitor the machining cycle.
- Remove finished parts from the machine and stack them into designated tubs.
- Empty scrap from the CNC machine, including using a hook to remove any metal shavings stuck inside the machine.
- Dump scrap tubs (up to 10 lbs) into the appropriate hopper—typically once per shift.
- Perform quality checks using micrometers, calipers, and other inspection tools.
- Accurately complete production and quality logs.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area in accordance with company and OSHA safety standards.
- Follow all safety guidelines, regulations, and company policies.
- Interact professionally with colleagues, supervisors, and internal teams.
- Maintain a positive and productive work atmosphere throughout the shift.
Requirements:
- Ability to stand for the duration of the shift.
- Ability to lift and handle scrap tubs up to 10 lbs.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes preferred.
- Ability to use measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to safety.
