The role at a glance:
NBBJ is seeking a Marketing and Communications Coordinator to join our team in Columbus. Working closely with the Marketing and Communications Teams, the Marketing & Communications Coordinator supports key marketing, communications, and design initiatives across the organization. This role plays an essential part in developing compelling content, elevating brand presence, and ensuring consistent, high‑quality communication across internal and external channels.
In this role you will be a self-starter, highly motivated and adept at juggling deadlines. You will play a key role in assisting teams for client facing submittals, assist in developing and maintaining marketing and communications assets, support brand storytelling, and help maintain organized, up to date marketing resources.
This role requires a proactive individual who is a creative thinker with strong attention to detail and a deep interest in how strategic communication helps teams win work and strengthens brand identity.
You will be focused on the detail, adept at finding solutions and have strong InDesign, communications and graphic design skills.
In your new role, you will:
- Support pursuit teams in creating RFQ/RFP responses, presentations, and interview materials
- Help maintain accurate and accessible firm and project information across marketing systems
- Assist in the development, updating, and refinement of marketing collateral, communication templates, and graphic assets
- Assist in the collection, entry, and management of project data in systems such as Deltek VantagePoint, OpenAsset, and Dynamics CRM—including updates to InDesign-based resumes and project sheets
- Provide communications and graphic design support for campaigns, events, conferences, and internal initiatives
- Contribute to special projects across Marketing, Communications, Graphics, and Marketing Operations teams
- Assist with research efforts, data gathering, and content organization to support marketing strategies and storytelling
What you will need to succeed:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field; concentrations in English or Journalism are a plus
- 1–3 years of marketing experience (internships included); experience in architecture, design, or construction is helpful but not required
- Proven ability to take initiative, manage multiple priorities, and meet competing deadlines
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign
- Strong eye for detail, layout, and typography
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team‑oriented mindset
- Familiarity with or interest in architectural and design practice preferred
