Position: Employment Specialist

Pay: Starting at $20.00 per hour

Job Types: Full-time

Work Location: In-person at community job sites throughout Medina County, OH.

*This position requires extensive travel between Medina and Summit Counties.*

What does an Employment Specialist do?

Employment Specialists support individuals with disabilities by helping them explore, prepare for, obtain, and succeed in community employment. This includes:

• Job coaching and on-site training
• Supporting individuals with job exploration and career planning
• Assisting with transportation training
• Working with employers to build and sustain job opportunities
• Maintaining detailed records and progress notes
• Collaborating with a team to develop and implement individualized employment plans

What we’re looking for:

• High school diploma or GED
• Must have experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
• Proven ability to work independently and deliver outcomes
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Flexible schedule availability and willingness to travel
• Reliable transportation and a valid Ohio driver’s license

What we'd prefer:

• Associate’s or higher in human services
• Previous experience as an Employment Specialist, Job Coach, or working with Transitional Youth.

Schedule Options:

• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Occasional weekends based on client needs

Orientation Location:

Main Office – 10011 Euclid Ave, Cleveland, OH

Monthly visits with management may occur at this office, but arrangements can be made closer to Medina. Interviews are also available in Medina County if needed.
