Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and versatile Associate – Commercial Contracts Program Manager to join our Commercial Team and assume the position of the corporate lead in the execution of complex, large-scale Engineering, Procurement, and Construction ("EPC") projects in the power generation industry.
This hybrid role combines technical project management with legal/commercial oversight, and financial monitoring and review.
You will act as the corporate lead for all projects, responsible for ensuring successful delivery of our contractual scope while safeguarding commercial interests, managing risk, and maintaining strong customer relationships. In addition to a legal background, prior expertise in project management, engineering and business finance/accounting is a plus when working within the arena of subject matter experts on the same team.

Job Responsibilities:
· Project Management:
o Oversee the full project lifecycle at the program level, from contract handover through to final acceptance and close-out, by managing and guiding individual project managers to ensure alignment with overall delivery, financial, and strategic objectives.
o Coordinate internal teams across engineering, manufacturing, field services, QA/QC to meet contractual commitments.
o Act as the main point of contact for commercial issues, representing our organization in coordination meetings and discussions.
o Build strong relationships with customer project teams, EPC contractors, and internal stakeholders.
o Proactively manage expectations, communication, and reporting at all levels.
· Finance Management:
o Own the corporate monitoring of project P&L: Aid in the management of project budgets, forecasts, cash flow, and cost control.
o Track project margins, identify variances, and drive corrective actions as needed.
o Ensure accurate invoicing and simple payment collection per contract terms.
· Business Management:
o Provide strategic oversight of the full project portfolio to ensure alignment with company business goals, revenue targets, and margin expectations.
o Monitor project-level and program-level KPIs, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to improve performance and profitability.
o Act as a business owner for the program, balancing delivery priorities with commercial strategy, customer relationships, and resource allocation.
o Collaborate with senior leadership on forecasting, resource planning, and long-term customer development.
o Drive internal governance processes, including project reviews, risk assessments, and executive reporting.
o Lead cross-functional coordination between Sales, Engineering, Finance, Procurement, and Operations to ensure business objectives are achieved across all projects.
o Support business case development and commercial strategy for new bids, contract changes, or future phases of ongoing projects.
· Legal:
o Interpret and manage project contracts, including scope, schedule, terms, payment schedules, regulatory compliance, and liquidated damages.
o Lead the administration of change orders, claims, contract amendments, and risk mitigation strategies.
o Collaborate with legal counsel and senior leadership on contractual matters, negotiations, and dispute resolution.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills:
· Juris Doctor ("JD") from an accredited law school, with admission to practice law in Ohio.
· Strong contract management and negotiation skills.
· Highly skilled in the use of spreadsheets for financial analysis.
· Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional coordination abilities.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills:
· Proficient in project scheduling (i.e., MS Project, Primavera), budgeting tools, and Excel.
· Project Management Professional ("PMP") or similar project management certification.
· Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Engineering, or related field.
· Master of Business Administration ("MBA") or formal business/financial training is a plus.
· Experience working with international customers, suppliers, or legal frameworks.
· 7+ years of experience in project management and within industrial, energy, or power generation sectors.
· 7+ years of demonstrated experience managing both technical delivery and commercial/financial aspects of complex projects.
· Familiarity with EPC project environments and working with large EPC contractors.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to safety procedures and PPE requirements in all manufacturing and office environments.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, salaried (exempt) position. The standard work schedule is a minimum of 40 hours per week; however, hours may vary based on business needs. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to support urgent matters.
