We are seeking a skilled and highly motivated CNC Lathe Machinist to join our family of creative employees working to solve defense, space, and aerospace problems that will advance the future of manufacturing. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in all facets of CNC lathe operations, including advanced programming, setup, and precision operation. Attention to detail is paramount for maintaining our high quality and tolerance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Program CNC lathes using G-code to produce parts according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Set up machines, including installing and adjusting tooling, fixtures, and work holding devices.
• Operate CNC lathes to perform machining operations, ensuring the machines run efficiently and safely.
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, bore gauges) to verify conformance to strict dimensional and surface finish requirements.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience as a CNC Lathe Machinist.
• Demonstrated expertise in programming, setting up, and operating CNC lathes.
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering blueprints and technical drawings with a high degree of accuracy.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Strong knowledge of various materials and cutting tools.

Preferred Skills

• Manual lathe, mill, and surface grinder experience
• CNC mill experience
• Wire EDM experience
• CAD and CAM experience

Candidates with experience using the following CAM software platforms may be given preference:

• MasterCAM
• BobCAD
• Inventor CAM
