💰 $65,000–$75,000 + Bonus + Generous Benefits

Our client, a privately owned commercial real estate firm in West Columbus, is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their growing team. With an active portfolio of developments, operating properties, and approximately 90 partnerships at any given time, this role offers strong exposure to partnership accounting, investor reporting, and real estate-specific financial operations. This is a permanent role, full-time and on-site role.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Manage quarterly full-cycle accounting across ~90 partnerships


• Prepare quarterly financial statements and supporting schedules


• Record journal entries and complete bank reconciliations


• Assist with quarterly close processes


• Maintain general ledger accounts and financial records


• Coordinate reporting for multiple banking partners and investors


• Support A/P and A/R activities, including deposits and invoice processing


• Maintain audit and tax documentation


• Prepare 1099s and assist with tax return processes


• Track active construction projects and related project costs


• Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable tax standards

What Our Client Is Looking For

• 2+ years of accounting experience


• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field


• CPA or actively pursuing CPA- preferred, NOT required


• Strong understanding of journal entries and full-cycle accounting


• Experience building depreciation schedules in Excel


• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO)


• Engaged, analytical mindset — someone who wants to understand the business behind the numbers

Compensation & Benefits

• $65,000–$75,000 base salary
